About the role

General helper in the Materials Lab focused on testing and analysis of 3D printed parts and materials for additive manufacturing systems. Involves sample preparation, destructive testing, data collection, and process improvements in a fast-paced R&D environment.

Responsibilities

  • Take dimensional measurements of tensile bars and conduct destructive (tensile) testing
  • Perform metallurgical sample preparation including cutting, mounting, grinding, polishing, and acid etching
  • Operate and maintain testing equipment such as Instron Frames and more
  • Work with the engineering team to collect data and conduct testing, analysis, and review of printed parts
  • Perform data entry and report generation
  • Participate in process improvement efforts to streamline testing procedures

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Positive attitude, eagerness to learn and grow, and team-oriented attitude
  • Must be available to work the first shift (5:00 AM - 1:30 PM) Monday-Friday
