About the role

Responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of components and materials from suppliers, driving continuous improvement, resolving quality issues, and optimizing supplier relationships across the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize sourcing strategies for NPI and production scale
  • Analyze capacity, lead times, and manufacturing constraints to prevent shortages
  • Partner with suppliers on process improvements and throughput optimization
  • Support build planning, material readiness, and hardware flow
  • Improve MRP/ERP accuracy, part mapping, and supply chain data integrity
  • Identify supply risks early and implement mitigation strategies
  • Help design scalable supply chain tools and processes suitable for high-growth operations
  • Qualify new suppliers and manufacturing processes for rapid NPI and production ramp-up
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Procurement, and Production teams to ensure that high-quality parts and services meet all requirements
  • Analyze quality metrics to identify trends and root causes of systemic issues and work with vendors to drive corrective actions
  • Develop and support management of the Impulse Space Approved Supplier List (ASL)

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in an engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, or quality-related field, and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related discipline
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
  • Knowledge of component manufacturing processes, quality standards, and certifications (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Ability to travel 25% of time
