About the role

Genius at Apple Retail combines extensive troubleshooting skills with the ability to inspire excitement for Apple products, delivering exceptional service, performing repairs, educating customers on repair options and Apple offerings, and mentoring team members while upholding Apple’s values of inclusion and diversity.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and resolve service concerns for Apple hardware and software.
  • Provide excellent service by understanding customer needs, identifying ownership opportunities, presenting product and service recommendations, and educating customers on relevant ways to buy.
  • Perform repairs on all Apple products serviced in the store.
  • Educate customers on repair options and Apple offerings.
  • Enhance team knowledge by modeling exceptional service and educating and mentoring team members.
  • Support leadership in providing timely resolution to customer escalations.
  • Identify recurring repair problems and provide feedback to Apple via team leaders.
  • Serve as a mentor and positive role model for Genius Bar team members.
  • Contribute to an inclusive environment by respecting differences and fostering curiosity to learn.
  • Contribute to customer-facing activities on or off the sales floor as needed.

Qualifications

  • Experience in retail or sales, or related work experience.
  • Visual inspection and fine motor skills to safely perform hardware repairs.
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues in a customer service environment.
