About the role

Enterprise full-stack software engineer role at Apple, building end-to-end web applications in an enterprise environment with a strong emphasis on Java/Spring backend, modern frontend frameworks, and AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, quality, and scalability.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop enterprise-level, highly available web application platforms applying Java, Spring frameworks, JPA & Hibernate, REST/SOAP web services on the back end, and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React/Vue/Angular) on the front end.
  • Develop prototypes and POCs to demonstrate new ideas or illustrate the use of new technologies — including generative AI and AI-assisted coding tools — and how to apply them into systems to improve developer productivity and code quality.
  • Actively use AI-powered tools throughout the SDLC — for code generation, code review, test-case generation, debugging, documentation, and refactoring — to increase engineering efficiency and reduce time-to-delivery.
  • Where applicable, integrate AI/ML-driven features (e.g., intelligent automation, recommendation logic, natural language interfaces) into enterprise applications to deliver smarter end-user experiences.
  • Work with project managers, architects, technical leads, and vendors on defining scope, deliverables, and resources for projects.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional internal organizations and thrive in a multi-functional team on high-profile, critical projects.
  • Maintain focus and prioritize a challenging workload while achieving extraordinary quality.

Qualifications

  • Experience in architecting and developing event-based, distributed, highly available systems.
  • Experience and knowledge in developing and handling enterprise-level technology at a global scale.
  • Full stack development experience across front-end (UI/UX) and back-end (services, APIs, data) layers.
  • Knowledge of securing applications with understanding of OWASP top 10 risks and solutions.
  • Experience with Microservices, CI/CD, and container orchestration.
  • Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools to improve development speed and code quality.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in architecting and developing event-based, distributed, highly available systems.
  • 5+ years of proven experience and knowledge in developing and handling enterprise-level technology at a global scale.
  • Hands-on with one or more cloud platforms and managed services.
  • Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, and Docker.
  • Experience with client-facing web apps as a full stack developer owning UI and services layers.
  • Solid knowledge of web app development using ReactJS/VueJS, jQuery, Bootstrap; experience with SPAs.
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, distributed cache, and handling large distributed datasets.
  • Experience in building e-commerce applications.
  • Practical experience applying AI/ML in software development (e.g., code generation/review, prompt engineering, LLM-based services/APIs).
  • Strong software engineering background with proven work in software development, solution architecture, and product management.
  • Understanding of Microservice Architecture, SAP Cloud Foundry features & capabilities.
  • Thorough understanding of SDLC, including AI-assisted tooling integration.
  • Knowledge of source control (SVN or Git), build/deployment tools (Maven, Gradle), and automated testing methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and real-world deployment experience.
  • Self-starter with leadership capability and curiosity about applying AI to drive efficiency.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience preferred.
