About the role

Cloud Platform Engineer for SAP Cloud Team at Apple. Builds enterprise-grade, cloud-native services on hyperscalers (Alibaba Cloud, AWS). Collaborates across cross-functional teams to design scalable, reliable, and secure cloud solutions and to drive digital evolution.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate and contribute to designing scalable, reliable, and secure enterprise solutions.
  • Contribute to the design and implement robust cloud native solutions.
  • Understand containerization and orchestration concepts for designing and building scalable and resilient modern event and micro-services based systems.
  • Stay at the forefront of exploring and learning new technologies/frameworks to continuously enhance expertise.
  • Demonstrate the ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge to solve complex problems.
  • Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and proactively drive issue resolution across teams.
  • Be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and mindful of established schedules and scopes, ensuring effective project delivery.
  • Communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders, fostering positive and open interpersonal relationships.
  • Adapt to working with multi-regional teams across different time zones.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Cloud/DevOps Engineer or in a similar role with 5+ years of exposure.
  • Knowledge of working with public cloud providers such as AliCloud or AWS or equivalent
  • Understanding of networking concepts on Cloud, like VPCs/Subnets, Firewalls and LoadBalancers.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD and configuration management systems.
  • Knowledge of working with OS environments and good programming skills in Python and scripting
  • Understanding of monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to continuously assess and improve system reliability, and performance
  • Have passion to drive automation to streamline manual processes and enhance productivity across the organization.
  • MS/BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Hands on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes or equivalent
  • Analytical & problem solving skills, ability to communicate ideas clearly
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a strong focus on teamwork.
  • Experience with emerging technologies such as Generative AI in a cloud platform context.
  • Certifications like Alibaba Cloud Associate or Alibaba Cloud Professional is a plus.
