Founding AI Ops
About the role
The AI ops-focused role at Runtime, an in-house operations lead tasked with building and running internal agents, owning the customer experience, and automating fintech operations workflows.
Responsibilities
- Own customer experience end to end, from onboarding and support to ensuring real value from Runtime for each customer team
- Build and run internal agents on Runtime for our own operations (customer onboarding, support triage, sales ops, finance, recruiting, security/compliance)
- Use coding agents and AI tools daily to automate workflows, write scripts, and pull data together
- Run the operating cadence of the company (metrics, customer health, renewals, board/investor reporting)
- Be our toughest internal user, feeding bugs and product ideas to engineering
Qualifications
- Experience in operations, customer success, or support at a fintech, payments company, bank, or other financial institution
- Hands-on use of coding agents and AI tools; not required to be an engineer but comfortable building things oneself
- Comfort working with customers at all levels (ops analyst to COO/CFO)
- Strong bias to automate repeating manual tasks
- Comfort with ambiguity and moving fast on a small team, in person in SF
