About the role

Co-op mechanical engineer position at an Aerospace & Defense startup in Gardena, CA. Design, prototype, analyze, test, and develop hardware to support defense-focused missile launch systems, with mentorship from experienced aerospace/defense engineers in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, prototype, analyze, test, and develop hardware to support defense-focused missile launch systems
  • Work with mentorship from experienced engineers and leaders in aerospace/defense
  • Collaborate in a fast-paced startup culture emphasizing innovation and rapid development

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university (undergraduate, master's, or PhD)
  • Pursuing Mechanical, Aerospace, Thermal Fluids, Structural or similar Engineering degree
  • 6+ months of relevant internship, co-op, or work experience
  • Experience with a CAD system such as SolidWorks, Siemens NX, PTC Creo, etc.
  • Strong understanding of engineering first principles
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, autonomously driven, and demanding atmosphere
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • GPA of 2.7 or above
