About the role

Senior leader responsible for building and leading Harmattan AI's global logistics function to support scalable production and delivery of finished goods, with ownership of international transport, customs, dangerous goods, export-control, routing, and performance across multiple production locations and markets.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and manage a global logistics system that is compliant, scalable and operationally effective.
  • Own customer delivery from release of the finished product through proof of delivery, including transport planning, Incoterms, shipment documentation, customs clearance and delivery visibility.
  • Define and manage the global network of freight forwarders, carriers and customs brokers.
  • Integrate export-control, dangerous-goods and customs requirements early into the delivery process in collaboration with Legal, Supply Chain and Production.
  • Establish common logistics standards, processes and KPIs across all production locations and deploy the system into new factories and countries.
  • Build the team and external partner network to improve delivery reliability, lead time and logistics cost.
  • Oversee customer delivery, international transport, customs and trade operations, export-control execution, dangerous-goods logistics, forwarder/carrier/broker management, global routing and logistics network design, shipment compliance and release, and logistics performance and cost management.

Qualifications

  • Experienced international logistics leader in a fast-growing, highly regulated industrial environment.
  • Significant experience in international logistics, preferably in defence or another highly regulated industry; strong knowledge of customs, import/export, Incoterms and shipment documentation.
  • Experience with dangerous goods, regulated shipments and licence-dependent export processes; experience managing freight forwarders, carriers and customs brokers.
  • Strong operational judgement with ability to decide under delivery pressure while maintaining compliance; experience scaling logistics processes across multiple countries or production locations is a strong advantage.
  • Ability to work across Production, Supply Chain, Quality, Legal and customer-facing teams; ability to build practical processes as the organization grows.
  • Strong compliance discipline combined with pragmatic operational mindset; anticipate problems before they affect delivery; create clear ownership and scalable processes.
