About the role

Staff Pharmacist responsible for providing outstanding pharmacy service with pharmacist oversight, ensuring quality and patient safety while dispensing medications in compliance with federal and state regulations. Based in New Albany, Ohio with a 7 on, 7 off overnight schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain all security and privacy rules regarding PHI in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Update and maintain patient profile records according to state regulations
  • Practice state and federal pharmacy regulations for ordering, handling, and management of prescriptions
  • Attend pharmacy team meetings as necessary
  • Drive quality efforts by adhering to standard operating procedures
  • Follow state and pharmacy regulations designated by the State Board of Pharmacy
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment per FDA rules
  • Provide a world class pharmacy experience for patients
  • Perform pharmacist duties such as drug utilization reviews, patient counseling, and dispensing activities
  • Dispense medications and ensure accurate interpretation, labeling and product selection of prescriptions
  • Complete pharmacy operational requirements by supervising technicians’ workflow, verifying preparation and labeling, and verifying order entries, charges, and inspections
  • Supervise the work results of support personnel
  • Protect patients and technicians by adhering to infection-control protocols
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy
  • 1-3 years of Pharmacist experience
  • Effective knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws, rules and regulations
  • Ability to work flexible shift times
  • Proficiency in English (verbal and written)
  • Proficiency in Windows-based computer systems
  • PHARMD - Licensed Pharmacist Active Pharmacist License in their state upon hire
