About the role

Accenture Construct is seeking a Construction Manager for Transit projects in the Pacific Northwest. The role focuses on delivering large-scale public infrastructure and transit-related construction programs, overseeing safety, quality, cost, and schedule, and acting as the owner's representative with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • You'll ensure the safety of client employees, agency personnel, contractor staff, and the traveling public at all times.
  • You'll serve as the owner's representative for all aspects of the project, overseeing project staff, daily field and office operations, and all supporting project functions.
  • You'll support client executive leadership in the successful delivery and management of the project.
  • You'll monitor project schedules and budgets, provide regular reporting to executive leadership, and manage project execution to maintain quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
  • You'll assist in overseeing engineering, construction, quality, safety, environmental, third-party, and community outreach activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • You'll represent the client with community stakeholders and public agencies, including cities, counties, WSDOT, utilities, and permitting authorities.
  • You'll champion the project's safety culture and provide leadership and oversight to achieve zero lost-time incidents.
  • You'll ensure compliance with all client contract requirements and project governance standards.
  • You'll perform constructability reviews of design packages and provide recommendations to enhance project delivery, safety, and efficiency.
  • You'll coordinate construction activities with transit operations to minimize service disruptions through advance planning, communication, and ongoing coordination during active construction.
  • You'll oversee compliance with federal and state contract requirements on federally funded projects, including Buy America provisions, Davis-Bacon and Washington State prevailing wage requirements, and DBE reporting obligations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business Administration, or another related field.
  • Ten years of experience in construction management on transit or public infrastructure projects, preferably with individual project values of $30 million or greater.
  • Three years of supervisory experience in the management of major construction contracts of similar size and scope.
  • Working knowledge of WSDOT and APWA Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge, and Municipal Construction.
  • Experience on FTA-funded projects, including familiarity with federal contract compliance requirements.
  • Valid Washington State driver's license, or ability to obtain one.
