About the role

Technical Project Manager responsible for IT infrastructure in Nebius data centers, from acceptance of new sites and GPU clusters to delivery of projects and changes in live production environments. Acts as the link between Project teams, DC engineers, vendors and IT Operations, owning transition into steady-state operations.

Responsibilities

  • Acceptance & operational readiness of new sites and clusters
  • Represent IT Operations in new site and cluster projects from planning stage; define acceptance criteria and operational readiness requirements
  • Own the acceptance process: readiness assessments, acceptance testing, punch lists, operational sign-off
  • Prepare operations for takeover: operational procedures, tooling, documentation, on-site processes, spares and vendor support
  • Manage the transition period from Project team to IT Operations, including defect follow-up and closure of open items after handover
  • Operations projects & change management in live DCs
  • Manage and deliver IT infrastructure projects and change requests in production data centers: hardware deployments and replacements, capacity changes, network and cabling changes, decommissioning
  • Own the change lifecycle for DC IT infrastructure: change requests, risk and impact assessment, MOPs, maintenance windows, rollback plans, post-implementation review
  • Manage risks and dependencies in live environments; proactively identify issues and drive resolution
  • Stakeholders, communication & documentation
  • Lead communication with all stakeholders: progress reporting, expectation management, escalation of blockers, timely decision-making
  • Lead project meetings, technical reviews and operational readiness discussions
  • Maintain project and operational documentation: acceptance criteria and reports, risk registers, issue logs, operational procedures, handover documentation, deployment reports
  • Cross-functional coordination & operational excellence
  • Coordinate engineering, infrastructure, network, security, procurement, hardware lifecycle and operations teams across acceptance and operational phases
  • Work directly with data center engineers, vendors, contractors and operations teams
  • Lead operational reviews and planning; improve reliability and workflows
  • Contribute to automation, process improvements and design support as needed

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in data center IT infrastructure operations, preferably in high-performance or AI-oriented environments
  • Experience accepting IT infrastructure into operations: defining acceptance criteria, readiness assessments, handover from project teams
  • Experience running changes in live production environments: change requests, MOPs, maintenance windows, rollback planning
  • Solid understanding of data center design and operations: racking, cabling, power planning, cooling considerations
  • Hands-on experience with IT hardware in data centers; comfortable on site during live operations
  • Experience in project delivery, team coordination and cross-team collaboration
  • Strong problem-solving skills; ability to troubleshoot technical and workflow issues across the IT stack
  • Ability to document processes, maintain tracking systems and produce clear reports
  • Strong stakeholder management; clear communication between technical and business teams
  • Ownership, drive and follow-through; ability to refuse sign-off when criteria are not met
  • Willingness to travel regularly; on-site presence during acceptance of new sites and clusters
