About the role

Internship at Waymo on the Onboard Developer Platform within the Software Engineering organization. Focuses on extending reinforcement learning infrastructure, experimenting with RL systems, and applying ML/RL solutions to Waymo problems for the Onboard development platform.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the problem current LPM model is trying to solve along with its details
  • Extend current reinforcement learning infrastructure and conduct experiments on our RL system. Tune parameters and compare with existing results
  • Identify promising new RL technologies and apply on Waymo problems

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Master's or PhD in software engineering, machine learning, or a related technical field
  • Fundamental understanding of machine learning and reinforcement learning
  • 2+ years of project experience involves coding and realized achievements (you are proud of the results)

Required:Mastery of reinforcement learningSoftware engineering in ML contextProject experience in coding
