About the role

Internship opportunity with AMD to work on next-generation hardware products, collaborate with engineers, receive mentorship, and contribute to discrete and embedded hardware initiatives during a full-time onsite internship in Cambridge, UK.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Engineers and be responsible for some of AMD's discrete and embedded hardware products
  • Train to build applications for external and internal use as well as large-scale systems that improve the efficiency of AMD Hardware organization

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a UK-based University degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field
  • Experience/Knowledge of Digital and/or analog Logic Design and Optimization (preferred)
  • Scripting languages such as C/C++, TCL, Perl, Python, Java, Ruby (preferred)
  • Computer architecture, CPU & GPU architecture (preferred)
  • Verilog, VHDL (preferred)
  • ASIC design and verification (preferred)
  • Hardware automation, validation and test (preferred)
  • Analog and mixed-signal IC design fundamentals (preferred)
  • Exposure to RF knowledge and high-speed circuit concepts (impedance matching, clock jitter/phase noise) and data converter theory (preferred)
