About the role

AMD seeks graduate software engineers to design and implement system software for AMD's FinTech accelerated networking platform, based in Cambridge, UK. Role involves low-level networking software, hardware datapath optimization, and collaboration across firmware, drivers, testing, and production releases.

Responsibilities

  • Develop open-source system software for networking acceleration on Linux.
  • Understand networking stack from applications through middleware and kernel drivers to firmware and hardware of NICs.
  • Collaborate with firmware and driver teams to refine interfaces.
  • Work with system test and customer support teams to deliver tested releases into production environments.

Qualifications

  • Final-year student or recent graduate with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Maths or a related field
  • Experience writing C code
  • Experience with Python and other scripting languages
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of Ethernet and TCP/IP
  • Experience with Linux systems
