About the role

AMD is seeking a Lead Software Development Engineer with a strong focus on hardware to join the Data Center Platform Engineering Group, driving development of software for next-generation datacenter systems and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing and customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive execution of comprehensive, highly effective software for sophisticated new technology and new product introduction projects
  • Validate new software features before releasing them to customers
  • Work directly with customers to support and enable the manufacturing process
  • Contribute to a high-functioning feature team
  • Collaborate closely with multiple teams to deliver key planning solutions and the technology to support them
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable, durable, and innovative software architectures for next-generation datacenter systems
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, promoting engineering excellence and best practice adoption
  • Work closely with development teams and project managers to drive results
  • Up to 25% travel

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline
