About the role

SAP Solutions Architect for AppleCare Finance (AC Finance) responsible for representing AC Finance in SAP and EDW projects, ensuring accurate financial treatment and reporting of AppleCare Sales, Service, Supply Chain and Insurance activities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate finance requirements into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (AC Business Development, AC Business Process Reengineering, Global Business Solutions, Legal, Procurement, Trade Compliance, Insurance partners) to understand project objectives, scope, and roadmap.
  • Engage with regional and global AC Finance teams to translate finance business requirements into technical requirements for IS&T.
  • Drive business process improvements across disparate processes and functions while aligning with global standardization and prioritization.
  • Generate and vet possible solutions; build, test, and refine models.
  • Perform thorough user acceptance testing to ensure Finance requirements are met before system changes.
  • Screen production support issues as Level 1 for AC Finance and coordinate with IS&T support to resolve them.
  • Support timely execution of projects related to business expansion, privacy, compliance, and efficiency gains.
  • Handle operational work related to insurance settlement activities (up to 10-15% of role).
  • Assess impact on AC Finance systems and accounting postings from upstream process/system changes.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience with systems implementations and software development lifecycle.
  • Proven track record of completing ambitious projects with cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong process re-engineering aptitude.
  • Strong decision-making, problem solving, and prioritization skills.
  • Strong understanding of privacy risk and personally identifiable information classification.
  • Super user experience or consulting experience in SAP ECC 6.0 / S/4HANA.
  • See beyond current state, identify risks/opportunities and drive project teams to outcomes.
  • Ability to simplify complex problems and communicate clearly.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work with ambiguity and complexity.
  • Experience in service, support, warranty contracts, and/or supply chain preferred.
  • Finance or Accounting qualification preferred.
  • Good understanding of data flow between SAP and downstream systems.
