About the role

Genius combines extensive troubleshooting skills with the ability to inspire excitement for Apple's products and services. Provides exceptional service, educates customers on repair options, performs repairs on Apple products, mentors team members, and supports leadership in resolving escalations within Apple Retail’s Genius Bar.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and resolve service concerns for Apple hardware and software.
  • Perform repairs on all Apple products serviced in the store.
  • Educate customers on repair options and Apple offerings; present product and service recommendations.
  • Support customers with care and empathy using all tools and resources provided by Apple.
  • Identify recurring repair problems and relay feedback to Apple; collaborate with team leaders.
  • Mentor, resource, and positive role model for Genius Bar team members.
  • Support leadership in providing timely resolution to customer escalations.
  • Contribute to an inclusive environment; model exceptional service and educate/mentor team members.
  • Contribute to customer-facing activities on or off the sales floor as needed.

Qualifications

  • Experience in retail or sales, or related work experience.
  • Visual inspection and fine motor skills to safely perform hardware repairs.
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues in a customer service environment.
