About the role

Apple is seeking a Module Process Engineer to join the Panel Process and Optics (PPO) Engineering team. The role focuses on developing new manufacturing process technologies for advanced key process modules, from concept to product validation builds, to impact Apple Displays & Touch technology with quality and delivery improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new innovative manufacturing process technologies to solve design challenges for Apple Displays & Touch.
  • Serve as a focal point in process development of advanced key process modules from concept/architecture through product engineering validation builds.
  • Work at a fast pace and demonstrate self-motivation; problem-solve beyond the immediate technical area.

Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field with 3 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Experience leading a project from early development to high volume production.
  • Experience in development of module processes and integration in back-end processes of Flat Panel Display & Touch industries or related industries.
  • Experience in DOE, data analysis, or SPC control.
  • Experience in failure mode analysis, root cause investigation, and problem solving for product yield and quality issues.
  • Ph.D. or M.S. in Physics, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
  • Project management skills with excellent data handling, documentation, milestone creation, and organization.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills and demonstrated leadership ability.
  • Ability for international travel to support project implementation and collaborate with external vendors.
