About the role

Researcher/machine learning engineer role in Zurich focusing on next-generation 3D representations and generative modeling, within Apple’s Europe Vision Group. The position combines ML and computer vision with geometric knowledge to accelerate development and improve model quality for 3D content in diverse scenarios.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, evaluate, and improve machine learning algorithms that model 3D content in complex and diverse scenarios.
  • Design innovative tools to develop, monitor and improve the quality of our models to accelerate the development cycle.

Qualifications

  • In-depth understanding of Machine Learning principles
  • In-depth understanding of 3D Geometry, 3D representations, and Computer Vision
  • Strong understanding of generative models and/or multi-modal foundation models
  • Experience in Python, deep learning and data analysis frameworks (PyTorch, pandas, and similar)
  • Experience in working on large scale projects with good software development principles
  • Scientific mindset and data-driven approach to problem solving
  • Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to pick up novel tasks and acquire new skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication in English
