About the role

Leader responsible for building and managing the team delivering PLM, MES, QMS, and related enterprise systems to connect engineering to the shop floor, with a focus on strategy, delivery, process design, and stakeholder alignment in a fast-growing robotics hardware environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and build the team accountable for end-to-end delivery of enterprise systems projects supporting engineering and manufacturing — business case, scope, schedule, budget, resourcing, risk, stage gates, and benefits realization
  • Direct your team's PLM implementation, configuration, and continuous improvement — CAD data management, part and BOM structures, item numbering, revision and effectivity control, engineering change (ECR/ECN/ECO and deviations), and configuration management
  • Own the design-to-build data thread: ensure clean releases from the engineering BOM into the manufacturing BOM, routings, and work instructions, with traceable linkage back to the released design and as-built configuration
  • Oversee your team's integration of PLM with ERP, MES, and the ECAD/MCAD toolchain so changes propagate correctly to planning, procurement, and the shop floor
  • Direct your team's delivery of MES capability for electronic work instructions, digital travelers, operation-level data collection, serialization, genealogy, station-level quality gates, and test data capture at the point of work
  • Lead your team's delivery of Quality systems capability — document and training control, nonconformance and CAPA, supplier quality, incoming and in-process inspection, calibration, audit management, and change control
  • Set strategy for enterprise systems delivery on the Salesforce platform to support customer/program management, service/field support, warranty/returns, and case-to-quality handoffs
  • Represent the function to Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, and Program Management leadership to elicit, prioritize, and negotiate requirements; translate into configurations, workflows, integrations
  • Set direction for business processes within these systems, ensuring scalability, auditable practices, and internal controls
  • Ensure data readiness for prototype, pilot, and production builds — long-lead part release, make/buy decisions, supplier data packages, and as-built records
  • Lead end-to-end implementation, upgrade, and module rollout projects — planning, scoping, pilot, testing, UAT, cutover, hypercare, post-go-live optimization
  • Own vendor relationship strategy for system integrators, VARs, and software vendors — SOWs, deliverables, licensing, renewals, support escalations, roadmap alignment
  • Set policy for system security and access management, including roles, permission sets, segregation of duties, approval workflows, and periodic access reviews
  • Establish and govern master data practices across parts, suppliers, customers, BOMs, routings, and locations; ensure data quality, reconciliation, and reporting standards
  • Deliver reporting, dashboards, and analytics on change cycle time, BOM accuracy, first-pass yield, NCR/CAPA, on-time release, and user adoption
  • Own change management and adoption strategies — stakeholder analysis, communication plans, training, super-user networks, and adoption metrics
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation — configuration records, process flows, runbooks, end-user materials; act as escalation point and executive SME for platforms
  • Hire, develop, and manage performance of IT and business analyst staff supporting engineering and manufacturing systems; foster operational excellence and succession planning

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of enterprise systems leadership experience in manufacturing/hardware environments with at least 2 years of direct people-management
  • Proven ownership of at least two full-lifecycle implementations or major upgrades of PLM, MES, QMS, or ERP
  • Working knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter; familiarity with other PLM platforms (PTC Windchill, Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE/ENOVIA, Arena, Oracle Agile PLM, Duro)
  • Familiarity with Altium and ECAD/MCAD data release/versioning
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce and Mulesoft and their ERP/PLM integration points
  • Working knowledge of MES/MOM platforms (e.g., Siemens Opcenter, Tulip, Rockwell Plex, FactoryTalk, DELMIA Apriso, etc.)
  • Experience delivering quality system capability within QMS or PLM-embedded modules (e.g., Teamcenter Quality, ETQ Reliance, MasterControl, TrackWise)
  • Understanding of ERP integration touchpoints (Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and integration patterns (REST/SOAP, iPaaS, ETL, EDI)
  • Fluency in EBOM/MBOM, routings, revision control, serialization, genealogy, and engineering change process
  • Ability to bridge business requirements with executive stakeholders and translate into system solutions
  • Strong process design capabilities and experience mapping current-state and future-state processes
  • Knowledge of hardware manufacturing quality/compliance frameworks (ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949, ISO 13485) and computer system validation
  • Vendor and contract management skills including SOWs and delivery accountability
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management; able to operate across engineers, operators, quality auditors, and executives
  • Track record of building and developing high-performing teams in fast-paced environments
