About the role
COO / President sought to scale GovernGPT’s operations, finance, and go-to-market execution. Role focuses on building systems for financial and operational leverage, leading fundraising/strategic transactions, legal and global office expansion, and end-to-end operational ownership.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for building systems of financial and operational leverage.
- Financial Leverage: including but not limited to raising venture capital, M&A for strategic purposes, or setting up a Canadian entity to double R&D budget without dilution (SR&ED). Lead on both execution and strategy.
- Operational Leverage: including but not limited to building systems around hiring, dealing with legal counsel, establishing global offices, etc.
- Ad-hoc ops / finance: owning end-to-end systems for invoicing, collections, expenses, payroll, budgeting, modelling, cash management, vendors, tools, office, customer contracts, billing logistics, etc., and systematizing these with AI/LLMs.
Qualifications
- Most likely an ex-founder (CEO or COO).
- Most likely an ex-lawyer, investment banker or accountant.
- Likely has raised venture or done M&A before.
