About the role

Waabi is seeking a program management leader to drive the integration of the Waabi Driver into the robotaxi commercial fleet. The role spans defining the integrated program plan, coordinating across engineering, operations, safety, and external partners, and shaping go-to-market strategy and partner engagement to deliver a safe, scalable rider experience.

Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain the integrated robotaxi program plan — milestones, cross-team dependencies, and critical path across autonomy, hardware, safety/V&V, fleet operations, and commercial launch readiness.
  • Own program-level risk management with data-backed options and clear ownership/ETAs for dependencies.
  • Drive launch and market-readiness planning including vehicle readiness, ODD coverage, safety validation sign-off, site/facility readiness, and regulatory/permitting for new markets.
  • Partner with Autonomy, Safety, Commercial, and Operations to translate strategy into executable roadmaps and hold teams accountable.
  • Build and run executive reporting on program status, risk, and path-to-green.
  • Define and track KPIs for driverless operation readiness (ODD coverage, disengagement rates, system readiness, rider experience).
  • Establish scalable processes and tooling for robotaxi program tracking with a single source of truth.
  • Represent the robotaxi program in cross-company planning and align with trucking roadmap and shared platform investments.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of technical program management experience leading complex, cross-functional programs from ambiguity to delivery.
  • Direct experience in autonomous vehicles, robotics, or other safety-critical, cross-functional environments spanning hardware, software, and safety.
  • Experience building program structures from scratch (dependency maps, risk registers, executive reporting, milestone tracking) in fast-moving, early-stage settings.
  • Strong technical fluency across hardware, software, and autonomy/ML domains.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to produce executive-level one-pagers and lead technical reviews.
  • Proven cross-functional leadership without formal authority.
  • Hands-on experience with Jira, Asana, or other PM tools.
  • BS or MS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
