About the role

Role to turn raw aluminum into accurate, customer-ready parts by setting up and running industrial saws, verifying material and dimensions, and recording cuts in the system. Emphasis on safety, precision, and ability to operate heavy industrial equipment. In-person role based in Los Angeles, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety procedures, machine-guarding requirements, and material-handling practices
  • Read work orders and confirm the correct alloy, temper, dimensions, and quantity
  • Set up and operate industrial bandsaws and related equipment
  • Measure finished pieces and verify cuts before material moves downstream
  • Use forklifts, cranes, and lifting equipment after training and certification
  • Label, stage, and record completed material accurately
  • Monitor blade condition and perform routine operator-level equipment checks
  • Escalate quality, equipment, or material discrepancies immediately
  • Keep the saw area clean and organized
  • Complete other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

  • Experience operating bandsaws, production machinery, or CNC equipment (nice to have)
  • Familiarity with tape measures, calipers, or other inspection tools (nice to have)
  • Forklift or overhead-crane experience (nice to have)
  • Metals, machining, or manufacturing experience (nice to have)
  • Comfortable using AI tools to work faster and smarter (nice to have)
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and remain on your feet for a full shift with or without reasonable accommodation
