About the role

Hiring a Cinematographer to create distinctive films about Nox Metals’ factories, customers, people, and technology, from social content to brand and recruiting pieces. Hands-on role involving lighting, shooting on cinema cameras, interviews, and production workflow, with travel between Detroit and Los Angeles facilities.

Responsibilities

  • - Develop visual treatments, shot lists, lighting plans, and production schedules
  • - Direct and capture interviews, factory processes, product footage, and customer stories
  • - Operate cinema cameras, lenses, lighting, audio, stabilization, and related production equipment
  • - Work safely around active industrial equipment and follow all site requirements
  • - Translate campaign goals into images with a recognizable Nox Metals point of view
  • - Partner with editors and designers to plan coverage that cuts across formats
  • - Organize, label, back up, and hand off footage and production notes reliably
  • - Maintain equipment and improve in-house production workflow
  • - Balance planned productions with fast-turn opportunities from the floor

Qualifications

  • - Strong visual storytelling with excellent composition, lighting, camera movement, and exposure judgment
  • - Comfortable directing both experienced speakers and people new to camera
  • - Resourceful in fast-moving environments
  • - Organized about preproduction, releases, media management, and deadlines
  • - Respectful of safety and the people doing the work
  • - Curious about manufacturing, machinery, and the people who keep American industry moving
  • - Low ego, collaborative, and willing to carry gear and solve unglamorous problems
