About the role
Infrastructure Engineer role at Nox Metals focusing on secure, observable, and dependable systems across Los Angeles and Detroit. Owns foundations connecting applications, data, employees, and factory operations, spanning cloud infrastructure, developer tooling, identity, security, networking, and incident response.
Responsibilities
- Build and operate reliable cloud infrastructure and deployment systems
- Improve CI/CD, observability, alerting, backups, and disaster recovery
- Manage identity, access, secrets, endpoints, and core security controls
- Support reliable connectivity across offices, factories, applications, and equipment
- Automate infrastructure and configuration wherever practical
- Lead incident response and write clear follow-up actions
- Partner with application engineers to improve performance and reliability
- Reduce single points of failure and undocumented dependencies
- Maintain practical documentation and runbooks
- Evaluate vendors and tooling based on security, reliability, and cost
Qualifications
- Experience with infrastructure as code is desirable (nice to have)
- Experience with containers, CI/CD, and PostgreSQL (nice to have)
- Experience with factory, warehouse, edge, or industrial networks (nice to have)
- Experience with compliance or security programs (nice to have)
- Experience supporting a distributed, fast-growing organization (nice to have)
- Security-minded and strong troubleshooter across applications, cloud systems, networks, and devices
- Ability to automate work through code
- Calm and methodical during incidents
- Clear in documentation and communication
- Willing to work with both engineers and factory teams
- Root-cause oriented problem solver
