About the role

First Product Manager role at Alinea, an AI-powered investing app for Gen Z. Build-from-scratch role coordinating across Engineering, Design, Growth and Investment to define and ship products from concept to launch in a fast-moving fintech startup.

Responsibilities

  • Own projects end-to-end, from concept to shipped product
  • Partner with Engineering, Design, Growth, and Investment to turn strategy into shipped products
  • Write specs that align the team on the problem, goals, scope, and success metrics
  • Work alongside engineers and designers daily, clearing blockers and keeping projects moving
  • Bring structure to a fast-moving environment without losing touch with users and data
  • Understand the user journey and re-engage users at key moments along the way.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years in product and at least a year at a high-growth startup
  • Experience taking rough ideas to working products in ambiguous, under-resourced environments (preferably as first/only PM at a high-growth startup)
  • Data-driven with ability to track and use data for decision-making
  • Led at least one successful product or business line with engineers and designers on consumer or B2B software
  • Strong user empathy and ability to translate into product decisions
  • Fintech fluency including understanding of financial products and regulated environments; direct fintech experience a plus
  • AI fluency and familiarity with AI tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude) as part of workflow
