About the role

Senior level role leading CoreWeave’s Vulnerability Management program, setting technical direction, designing automation and workflows, and driving remediation across engineering teams. Focus on integrating tooling, LLM-based workflows, and production-ready security data processing to assess and reduce vulnerability risk.

Responsibilities

  • Set technical direction for major areas of Vulnerability Management and lead deployment/integration of security tooling to close visibility gaps.
  • Design and build automation that aggregates findings from multiple sources, including LLM-based workflows and agents, for validation, risk assessment, and remediation guidance.
  • Establish testing and monitoring processes to ensure accuracy of tooling in production.
  • Lead complex investigations involving scanner findings, bug bounty reports, CVEs, and disclosures; analyze how weaknesses combine into attack paths and guide effective fixes.
  • Drive remediation across engineering teams, resolve blockers, and improve systems and processes that slow vulnerability burndown.
  • Participate in vulnerability response on-call, lead technical investigations and post-mortems for urgent vulnerability events, and mentor engineers through design reviews and hands-on problem solving.

Qualifications

  • Experience owning a significant technical area within vulnerability management or a related security engineering discipline, including deciding what to build and its operation/maintenance.
  • Strong software development experience in Python, Go, Rust, or similar language; production services experience including automated testing, deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience leading software design for systems that process security data and integrate multiple services; able to make architectural decisions about data models, APIs, performance, and failure handling; review designs and code.
  • Hands-on experience building LLM-based workflows or agents for production use, including evaluating accuracy and handling failure cases with human review.
  • Strong understanding of Linux, containers, cloud, and Kubernetes; experience investigating vulnerabilities and balancing remediation with operational constraints.
  • Experience assessing exposure, exploitability, trust relationships, and controls to influence remediation priorities using CVSS/EPSS and known exploitation.
  • Experience leading technical work across engineering teams and mentoring engineers; improving systems relied on by multiple teams.
