About the role

AMD Platform Validation Engineer role focused on validating AMD Client/Graphics platforms, coordinating cross-functional teams to validate designs, develop validation strategies, and drive post-silicon validation deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Engaged in AMD Ryzen/Radeon post-silicon phases, reviewing internal and customer designs; developing validation strategies and test plans for AMD reference or customer platform designs
  • Create test procedures and generate technical documents as needed.
  • Execute Post-Si Integration validation; Track/Report validation status.
  • Triage/debug system level issues with cross-functional engineering teams (Firmware, SW, diag, board design) and identify root causes.
  • Support new GPU product bring-up and debug issues

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4+ year hands-on industry experience in PC, laptop, Graphics, motherboard, server product test and issue debug
  • Solid knowledge of PC hardware elements (CPU, GPU chipset, I/O devices, etc), software (BIOS, drivers, OS) and PC architecture
  • Technical experience in electrical hardware design, ASIC platform’s test and debug, and related tools, defect tracking and revision control
