System Test Engineer (Datacenter/AI Server board)

About the role

Role focused on board and system test engineering across full product life cycle for GPU and datacenter products, including pre-silicon, NPI, and production test optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead board/system test at the factory and debug test interface HW
  • Develop test plans and board issue debug
  • Data analysis for device performance
  • HW/SW & system integration, characterization testing
  • Release cost-effective production test solutions for mass production
  • Provide test support in production, yield improvement and test time reduction
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams (circuit/logic design, verification, test engineering) and vendors
  • Initiate debug activities onsite at the factory and with AMD peers
  • Coordinate with peers and seniors to ensure timely communication of all assigned work
  • Work independently with initiative and leadership to overcome technical challenges
  • Support server manufacturing bring-up/testing/training at the factory
  • Manage projects and lead meetings as needed

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience or equivalent
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in test manufacturing support (preferred)
  • Good knowledge of high-speed digital and analog circuits
  • Experience with PCBA fabrication process and supporting test in manufacturing
  • Hardware expertise with strong debugging and analytical skills
  • Deep knowledge of electronic circuit debugging and analytical skills
  • Solid experience in Linux environment; familiarity with Linux shell scripting and/or Python programming
  • Knowledge of workloads in a hyper-converged infrastructure is highly desired
  • GPU/Server/Desktop motherboard design or debug experience (preferred)
  • Solid experience in project management and leading meetings
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
