About the role

Senior Application Security Engineer for Shield AI's Hivemind Enterprise product, an SDK enabling scalable autonomy architectures for robotic platforms. Responsibilities include defining application security policies, configuring scanning tools in CI/CD, reviewing results with developers, and threat modeling to ensure secure-by-default design.

Responsibilities

  • As an application security engineer for Hivemind you will join our cybersecurity engineering team to help define our application security policies, deploy and configure scanning tools within our CI/CD pipelines, review scanning results and work directly with our developers to identify and fix security issues in or code.
  • In addition, you will have the opportunity to help solve security issues before they start by working with our architecture team to design a secure-by-default software product, performing threat modeling, and validating designs meet our secure coding standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with approximately 5+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with approximately 4+ years of relevant experience, in cybersecurity, software engineering, or a closely related technical field
  • Experience developing or testing cyber secure code
  • Strong understanding of modern software engineering practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, configuration management, and software lifecycle processes
  • Familiarity with threat modeling
  • Experience with software analysis tools, including static analysis, dynamic analysis, dependency mapping, CVE scanning, etc.
  • Comfortable working in a Linux development environment
  • Strong organizational, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Basic understanding of key cryptography concepts
