About the role

Engineer on the Find My team focused on building data pipelines and GenAI/agent-based tools with privacy-centric design. Collaborates across product, SRE, privacy, and other teams to scale Find My services, delivering data-driven and AI-powered solutions in a multi-functional, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build data pipelines behind Find My services
  • Develop GenAI and agent-based tools for engineering, operations and business partners
  • Apply data minimization, aggregation and access controls from day one
  • Take ideas from prototype to production
  • Partner with product, SRE, privacy and other engineering teams, including remote colleagues
  • Contribute to design and code reviews
  • Help shape how Find My services scale

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering with at least 5 years in data engineering and applied AI/ML engineering
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Ability to thrive in a multi-functional team on high-profile, critical projects
  • Experience designing and building end-to-end data pipelines (batch, near real-time, real-time) at scale
  • Proficiency in Python and Java, advanced SQL skills including dimensional data modeling
  • Experience building GenAI-powered applications & agents, including RAG pipelines, embeddings, vector databases, and semantic search over structured and unstructured data
  • Experience building AI agents or agentic workflows (planning, memory, tool use, execution loops), including multi-agent systems (LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar)
  • Experience with cloud-native data platforms on AWS, GCP or Azure
  • Experience with privacy-preserving analytics techniques (e.g., aggregation thresholds or differential privacy)
  • Experience handling sensitive or personal data with privacy controls (data minimization, anonymization, retention and access policies)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with data governance, lineage, data quality checks and observability tools (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk)
  • Track record of shipping POCs with AI/ML/GenAI services to production in a fast-changing environment
  • Experience with location, device telemetry, or IoT data is a plus
