About the role

IS&T-based role within Retail and Marcom Engineering focusing on enterprise-scale Java backend solutions, cloud deployments, and microservices to support Apple’s online and physical store experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Design and development of enterprise applications for multi-tier, distributed, high-volume environments
  • Deliver complex solutions for scalable microservices and containerized deployments
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate with NoSQL and relational databases
  • Participate in CI/CD processes using Git, Maven/Gradle, and related tools
  • Apply enterprise architecture patterns (high availability, load balancing, replication)
  • Collaborate effectively across teams and communicate technical concepts clearly
  • Contribute to development processes, follow Clean Code and TDD practices
  • Work in a fast-paced Agile/DevOps environment
  • Familiarity with GraphQL and modern API paradigms

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or relevant industry experience
  • Proven experience in designing and development of enterprise applications
  • Proven experience delivering complex solutions for multi-tier, distributed, high volume applications
  • Proficient in Java with deep OO concepts and enterprise Java ecosystem
  • Familiarity with cloud paradigms (AWS or GCP)
  • Experience with NoSQL and relational databases
  • Experience with RESTful APIs
  • Experience with Git, build tools (Maven, Gradle) and CI/CD practices
  • Understanding of enterprise architecture patterns (HA, load balancing, replication)
  • Good communication and collaborative skills
  • Experience in building and deploying applications in public cloud (preferably AWS)
  • Experience in building, orchestrating, and deploying highly scalable Microservices using Containerization/Kubernetes
  • Experience with Clean Code principles and Test Driven Development (TDD)
  • Experience with Agile development methodology and DevOps
  • Familiarity with GraphQL and modern API paradigms
