About the role

Apple is seeking a Global Sourcing & Supply Manager (GSSM) to assist with strategic planning, long term deal structuring and negotiations. The role interfaces with procurement, engineering, finance, legal, foundries and suppliers to develop and execute sourcing strategies, forecast commodity trends, negotiate terms, and drive long-term supply continuity and product roadmap influence.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a nuanced understanding of the commodity landscape to forecast industry trends and gauge competitive forces.
  • Perform supplier financial research, spend analysis and ad-hoc financial analysis for strategic procurement deals.
  • Negotiate optimal terms with suppliers, balancing cost, volume, and quality to meet performance criteria and secure long-term supply continuity.
  • Collaborate across Apple to ensure business objectives are met and communicate findings to senior leaders; proactively identify potential supply issues affecting product strategy.
  • Optimize supply chain performance through cost and capacity scenario analysis and benchmarking.
  • Develop understanding of value-added manufacturing processes, costs, and market intelligence to influence product roadmap and sourcing decisions.
  • Provide program management support and contribute to development of processes, templates, escalation procedures, and reporting.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in Operations, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Supply Chain or related area
  • BS/BA in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or related field
  • Proficiency with cost analysis and/or data analytics tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau, or similar)
  • Adept at managing competing priorities and solving complex problems under deadline pressure
