About the role

Be part of the Sensor, Software and Prototyping team focused on testing application software used to collect data and develop Apple’s next generation features and algorithms. Tests cover VisionOS, MacOS, iOS, and WatchOS applications that drive UI experiences and interface with firmware and drivers, providing data to processing pipelines.

Responsibilities

  • Follow up on bugs independently and collaborate with developers to resolve issues
  • Discuss technical problems with QE engineers, development partners and program managers
  • Develop robust and repeatable automated testing solutions
  • Understand deployment context to provide insights into potential failures
  • Execute manual and automated test plans on varied hardware and software configurations
  • Involve in the project lifecycle from early stages to craft quality
  • Document test cases and code used for test execution
  • Track performance and report results to management, driving issues to closure
  • Build creative tools, fixtures, and methodologies to stress software features
  • Possess UI/UX design or test experience and a track record of shipping consumer products
  • Support continuous integration and scheduling systems
  • Partner with the development team to learn applications quickly, break them into functional parts, and identify weaknesses
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to guarantee complete test coverage and flawless end-user experience
  • Leverage AI-powered development tools to streamline workflows, accelerate coding and debugging, create test frameworks, and improve code quality and testing

Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science or related with minimum 3+ years in software or application testing with strong Python and test automation experience
  • Strong Python and test automation experience
  • Experience with Swift programming and developing iOS test automation with Xcode UI automation framework
  • Author detailed test plans that cover all functionality and edge cases of a system
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, guaranteeing complete test coverage and a flawless end user experience
  • Experience leveraging AI-powered development tools to streamline daily workflows, accelerate coding and debugging, creating test frameworks and improve overall code quality and testing
