About the role

Biophotonics software team develops software across embedded firmware, full-stack applications, and cloud-based data processing to support prototypes and platforms for the program. The role focuses on embedded platform architecture and system software development, working with a cross-functional team to translate requirements into reusable software, and delivering software across various embedded applications, data acquisition, automation, and support tools.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to software architecture definitions, create development plans, translate feature requests into reusable software, and execute plans for new and existing embedded applications.
  • Work on automation and control of embedded platforms, data acquisition and management, and development of software support tools and services.
  • Collaborate with other software engineers and the wider engineering team to design and develop software solutions enabling progress on research and development activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Science Engineering, a combination of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, or equivalent fields.
  • Software development experience in an industrial setting.
  • Development experience in one of the following programming languages: C, C++, Python, Java, Go, Rust, Scala, or Swift.
