About the role

Senior software engineer role focused on designing, building, and operating scalable cloud infrastructure and core services across Apple’s ecosystem. Hands-on, end-to-end ownership of software development lifecycle with emphasis on security, availability, and resiliency in multi-cloud environments.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional customers to diagnose pain points, resolve complex technical issues, and deliver scalable cloud solutions.
  • Own end-to-end software development lifecycle—from design and architecture to implementation, testing and deployment.
  • Build production-grade cloud infrastructure and applications with distributed, massively scalable characteristics.
  • Lead architectural and detailed design efforts with a focus on security, high availability, fault tolerance, and operational resiliency.
  • Operate, optimize and scale cloud infrastructure and production-grade services on public cloud platforms; understand customer business needs and propose targeted technical solutions.
  • Develop and sustain cross-functional partnerships with platform users and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Mastery of one or more programming languages (Python, Go or Java) with experience building RESTful/gRPC APIs.
  • Proven track record in public cloud platforms and underlying infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with cloud native development (Kubernetes, CI/CD, crossplane).
  • Solid understanding of DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, X509 certificate frameworks.
  • Proficiency in at least one IaC tool (Terraform, Pulumi).
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Professional fluency in Chinese and English.
  • Experience leading architectural and detailed design efforts, embedding security and operational resiliency into core systems.
  • Hands-on experience operating and scaling cloud infrastructure and production services on public clouds.
  • Practical exposure to cloud networking, distributed cloud design patterns, and troubleshooting.
  • Expertise in application and service reliability engineering, incident response, and uptime optimization.
