About the role

Hardware-focused electrical engineering role at Apple in Shenzhen, China, responsible for designing, validating, and optimizing hardware circuits and systems for Home & Beats products, from prototype to mass production, with significant time at manufacturing sites and international/domestic travel.

Responsibilities

  • Design, validate and optimize hardware circuits and systems for home & beats products from first prototype build to mass production
  • Define and implement validation plans for HW sub-systems such as power, DC-DC, I2C, USB, SPI, DDR
  • Debug and tackle hardware and interfaces
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams, RD colleagues and other engineering groups (EE, FW, production test, ME, etc.)
  • Work at manufacturing sites and travel as required

Qualifications

  • BS EE with at least 5 years proven experience
  • Experience in design and development of high speed digital and/or analog boards and systems on consumer products
  • Deep understanding of the system development process including concept creation, schematics and board development, as well as board and system bring up and debugging
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment: digital multimeter, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, oscilloscope, power supply, E-load, etc.
  • Outstanding communication skills in both English and Chinese
  • Proven ability to work in global teams via online conference meetings
  • Willingness to travel mid/long-term and adapt to changing work environment
  • Ability to work independently under high pressure in a dynamic environment
  • MS EE (preferred)
  • Experience in design and development of audio (BT headphones, BT Speakers) products
  • Experience with Manufacturing process related teams
  • Software and scripting experience is a plus
