About the role

Office Furniture Services (OFS) Drafter/Designer responsible for designing and coordinating office furniture layouts and installations across Apple sites, ensuring space efficiency, functionality, and visual harmony. Works with requesters, updates layout records, supports installations, maintains product standards, and collaborates with project management and vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with internal clients to develop layout designs for workstations including offices, cubicles, and benching systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of existing and proposed furniture layouts.
  • Update and manage part numbers and product descriptions using common nomenclature.
  • Coordinate with the Apple Project Management team and vendors on installations.
  • Provide technical documentation and support for design, warehouse, and ergonomics teams.
  • Assist in receiving and prioritizing incoming work requests and direct installation activities accordingly.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience working with modular furniture systems in a high-demand environment.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD with an emphasis on detailed layout design.
  • Strong communication, multitasking, and customer service skills.
  • Technical training or equivalent work experience.
  • Comfortable working on Mac and Microsoft Office platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp new workflows and technical details.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team under tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience coordinating with multiple vendors and stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain composure and clarity in a fast-paced, evolving work environment.
  • Familiarity with Apple’s internal processes and space planning tools is a plus.
