About the role

Join the Shortcuts team at Apple to enhance the Shortcuts app across iOS, macOS, watchOS, and visionOS by collaborating with first-party and third-party developers to introduce new actions and improve user experiences. You will ship code on devices, design robust architectures, guide existing products, and contribute to system features with a strong focus on quality and delightful user experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance the capabilities of the Shortcuts app by collaborating with first-party app teams and third-party developers to introduce new actions into the product.
  • Ship code that runs on Apple devices powering products used by millions of users.
  • Break down technical challenges and create robust, scalable solutions.
  • Work across teams and organizations to build relationships and craft compelling system features.
  • Focus on building an elegant user experience and improving digital productivity.
  • Develop new features and maintain existing code, fix bugs, and contribute to overall system design.

Qualifications

  • B.S in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience building software and applications in Objective-C or Swift
  • Familiarity with essential tools (Xcode, lldb, Instruments)
  • Skilled at communicating, whether verbally or in writing
  • Experience creating complex and performant user interfaces with UIKit, AppKit, or SwiftUI
  • Attention to detail and focus on quality
