About the role
Role focused on managing inventory, replenishment, and procurement for data center operations across multiple sites, ensuring on-time, in-full delivery of materials and optimizing vendor relationships and spend.
Responsibilities
- Run auto-replenishment and min/max levels for data center ops consumables across every site, so ops crews never wait on supplies.
- Buy the equipment and consumables to set up each new site, with everything on hand before go-live as sites come online in pieces.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, and service levels with vendors, and set a vendor strategy site by site that balances cost, local availability, and continuity of supply.
- Work with Data Center Operations, inventory control, warehousing, and finance to turn consumption data and build schedules into forecasts and purchase plans.
- Build the buying playbook for ops spend: standard catalogs, preferred vendors, and ordering thresholds that every new site adopts from day one.
Qualifications
- You've owned min/max levels and replenishment for consumables across multiple sites or a high-volume operation, and you tracked stock-outs and overstock as numbers you drove down.
- You've negotiated terms with vendors on price tiers, payment terms, lead times, and service levels, and you can point to what you saved or secured.
- You've decided where to consolidate spend with a national supplier and where a local vendor serves a site better, and you managed those vendors to performance.
- You've bought for a new facility or site launch against a schedule you didn't control, and everything was there on opening day.
- You work across operations, warehousing, finance, and engineering, and the teams you support call you first when they need something fast.
- You make purchasing decisions from data: consumption history, lead times, and vendor performance drive your orders, and your records stay clean enough for anyone to audit.
