About the role
Role owning Wardstone’s aerodynamics for interceptors, shaping external design, maintaining the aerodynamic database (ADB) for flight simulations, and performing analyses to predict flight behavior. Collaborates with founders and mechanical, GNC, and propulsion teams from concept through wind tunnel testing to flight.
Responsibilities
- Design the interceptor: Own the aerodynamic design of the outer mold line (OML) with the mechanical team; design and size control surfaces and fins for flight envelope authority; run trade studies on vehicle configuration.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; M.S. or Ph.D. preferred
