About the role

Senior-level project management role overseeing full programs in Accenture Construct, focusing on large-scale capital projects (data centers, grids, rail, manufacturing, public infrastructure) from early strategy through construction and handover, with onsite client engagement and a focus on delivering complex programs.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day contract administration, ensuring compliance with contract terms, policies, and procedures. Development, coordination, and management of project scopes, ensuring alignment with project objectives, contract, and stakeholder requirements. Regularly review project scopes for changes, ensuring compliance with all contractual agreements and regulatory standards.
  • Develop, manage, and track project budgets to ensure all financial goals are met. Review contractor proposals, change orders, pay applications, and ensure accurate financial reporting in accordance with contract terms and project milestones. Review and negotiate contractor change orders and claims, ensuring that all necessary documentation is accurate and timely.
  • Establish and maintain project schedules, including milestone deadlines and completion dates. Ensure all team members are aligned with the project timeline, conducting regular reviews to mitigate delays and ensuring proper management of critical path tasks. Establish recovery schedules if needed.
  • Develop a complete understanding of all construction documentation, including bidding procedures, startup and closeout, contractual obligations, submittals, RFIs, change management procedures, pay applications and project reporting.
  • Communicate project updates to stakeholders, prepare detailed reports on progress, budget status, and risks or delays.
  • Develop and implement project management policies, procedures, and workflows to improve efficiency and ensure regulatory alignment.
  • Perform ongoing project risk analysis and develop mitigation strategies for cost, schedule, and quality.
  • Provide leadership, training, and technical guidance to project staff; foster a collaborative environment.
  • Provide technical direction to design firms, consultants, and contractors to ensure adherence to specifications and standards during development and construction.
  • Manage the project closeout process, deliverables, punch list, final payments, and submission of final reports to stakeholders.
  • Onsite at client site: work location is onsite with clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate client relationships.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture and/or engineering
  • 10+ years of experience in overseeing and managing all phases of higher education institution programs/projects
  • 10+ years of experience in preconstruction, construction and closeout phases with ability to problem solve and make decisions
  • Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, crawl, climb, reach overhead; lift 40 pounds or more; comply with PPE; endure extreme conditions and noises on project sites
