About the role

Senior Java Developer to work on backend solutions for a financial sector client, using Java, Spring Boot and AWS in a microservices environment. Collaborates with Technology, Product and Quality teams to define technical solutions, develop features and resolve production issues. Emphasizes scalable, secure software engineering practices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and evolve backend applications using Java, Spring Boot and AWS services.
  • Participate in technical refinements, requirements analysis and solution definition with Product and Technology teams.
  • Develop and maintain REST APIs and microservices, ensuring performance, security and scalability.
  • Apply best practices such as SOLID, Clean Code and software architecture principles.
  • Implement unit and integration tests to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Investigate and resolve production incidents, analyzing logs and root causes.
  • Support deployment processes, release management and environment evolution with infrastructure and support teams.
  • Collaborate with QA and squad members to identify risks and drive continuous improvement and technical evolution.

Qualifications

  • Solid backend development experience with Java, preferably Java 21 or higher.
  • Experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security).
  • Experience with microservices architecture and REST API development.
  • Experience with AWS services (SQS, S3, Lambda, ECS or API Gateway).
  • Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB).
  • Experience with unit and integration testing and code quality tools.
  • Knowledge of SOLID, Clean Code and software architecture best practices.
  • Experience with Git, version control and CI/CD processes.
  • Familiarity with Linux environments and Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban).
  • Strong analytical skills, autonomy and collaboration to resolve technical problems and evolve solutions.
