About the role

Senior Backend Developer with strong Python experience to build scalable, distributed backend solutions integrated with Microsoft Azure and Kubernetes, focusing on asynchronous processing, queues, workers, and fault-tolerant architectures for AI-related platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and evolve backend components for orchestration and task processing (queues, workers, execution control) ensuring reliability, fault tolerance, idempotency and efficient distributed load processing.
  • Build services integrated with Microsoft Azure and Kubernetes, applying software engineering best practices, automated testing, observability and scalable demand-driven architecture.
  • Collaborate with architecture and Platform AI teams, communicate technical decisions, conduct code reviews, and contribute to a corporate AI platform, especially in asynchronous agent execution and LLM integration.

Qualifications

  • Experience in backend development with Python.
  • Hands-on experience with messaging and queues (Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ or similar): ack, retry, DLQ, ordering, idempotence and at-least-once delivery.
  • Experience with Redis for state, counters and concurrency control.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes (AKS): Jobs, events and pod lifecycle.
  • Practice with TDD and automated integration and fault testing.
  • Knowledge of KEDA and scale-to-demand.
