About the role
Contract | Senior SDET responsible for owning Marvel Snap’s Test Automation initiative, building pipelines, and developing tools to ensure high-quality game releases. Remote-first US-based role with a 6-month contract to start (potential extension or full-time).
Responsibilities
- Identify, design, and deliver technical solutions (frameworks, tests, API hooks, tools) to increase test effectiveness, coverage, and development velocity
- Build and enhance continuous integration and delivery pipelines to support development teams across MARVEL SNAP
- Own the long-term development and roadmap of test automation
- Implement metrics, analyze test data to identify patterns, and report on risk status to help enhance software quality
- Optimize testing efforts and develop new opportunities using automation that will empower the QA team to be more effective and efficient
- Automate everything: from command lines to complex workflows, find opportunities to improve how we build and test the game, ultimately to improve the player experience
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability designing and owning scalable automated testing solutions, including test frameworks, test infrastructure, and execution pipelines
- Proficiency in unit and integration test frameworks in C#/.NET or other object-oriented programming language
- Experience integrating test pipelines into CI/CD workflows such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins
- Knowledge of industry best testing practices, including unit, integration, end-to-end, acceptance, functional, and performance testing
- Ability to work independently, charting the course for the company in test automation
- Passion for empowering teams with best-in-class automated testing tools, frameworks, and test harnesses to improve operations
- An agile mindset, a desire for constant improvement of tooling, automation, and process to improve the quality of our products and the lives of our teammates
- High levels of empathy and support for team members, both technical and non-technical
- Passion for playing and making great games
