About the role

Senior Software Engineer role on the Chassis Team at Waymo, focusing on horizontal infrastructure and tooling underpinning commercialization systems, with cross-team collaboration across mobile apps, cloud backends, and Waymo Driver.

Responsibilities

  • Help build and evolve mission-critical horizontal infrastructure and tooling that underpins all commercialization systems
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams to develop systems and processes as business needs grow and evolve
  • Scale our systems to meet the demands of commercial expansion and growing complexity
  • Solve hard, real-world problems such as world simulation for regression testing and evaluation of software services managing fleets for autonomous vehicles

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
  • 3+ years of backend or infrastructure experience
