About the role

Finance Manager role within AMD's Finance organization focusing on financial data analysis, strategic reporting, and cross-business initiatives to influence decisions and drive operations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Finance GOQ lead for AMD’s New business model
  • Engage/Lead core finance processes including Long-range planning, Annual Operating Plans, and intra-quarter Outlooks
  • Perform financial analysis and provide decision analysis support for programs and special projects.
  • Coordinate with and provide operational finance mentorship to various organizations and individuals across cross-functional teams such as Corporate Financial Planning, Accounting, Busines Unit finance, and Global Operations and Quality Unit.
  • Prepare and disseminate timely and accurate financial information to allow the business to plan, forecast, and make decisions using controlled and consistent data
  • Take full ownership of and accountability for ongoing reports providing validation and supporting documentation to business partners as required
  • Perform scenario analysis & planning to be used for decision making and approvals (e.g. contract amortizatization, gross margin analysis, cash forecast).
  • Identify potential opportunities for operational improvement to existing processes and cadence
  • Assist in providing valuable management decision support, driving key business goals, identifying major trends and corresponding business issues

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related discipline preferred
