About the role

Financial Analyst to join AMD's Global Operations Finance team supporting financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and operational analysis across manufacturing, supply chain, inventory, and capital investment activities.

Responsibilities

  • Support quarterly forecasts, Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and long-range planning activities for Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), inventory, and capital expenditures (CapEx).
  • Partner with manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, engineering, and operations teams to provide financial analysis and support business initiatives.
  • Manage assigned forecasting and reporting processes, ensuring timely identification of risks, opportunities, and financial impacts.
  • Perform variance analysis of actual results versus forecast, budget, and prior periods, and communicate key drivers to management.
  • Analyze inventory trends, manufacturing costs, operational metrics, and gross margin drivers to support informed business decisions.
  • Support month-end and quarter-end close activities, including accruals, journal entries, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and management reviews.
  • Prepare financial reports, presentations, and business summaries for finance leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Maintain and enhance financial models, dashboards, and reporting tools to improve visibility and decision-making.
  • Drive process improvements through automation, standardization, and data analytics initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, internal controls, and financial governance requirements.
  • Participate in special projects involving financial transformation, system enhancements, reporting improvements, and operational efficiency initiatives.
  • Support data quality and governance efforts to improve reporting accuracy and consistency across finance processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification is an advantage.
