About the role

Senior Electrical Engineer leading architecture, design, validation, and debug of advanced server platforms and complex PCB designs for AMD’s Data Center Platform Engineering Group (DPEG).

Responsibilities

  • Lead system architecture, hardware design, and board-level implementation for server platforms.
  • Develop specifications, schematics, BOMs, and design documentation.
  • Mentor engineers and oversee work from contractors and external design partners.
  • Drive PCB layout, design validation, simulation, and signal/power integrity analysis.
  • Lead system bring-up, validation, debugging, and hardware issue resolution.
  • Partner with suppliers and manufacturing teams to deliver high-quality products on schedule while balancing cost, performance, and reliability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in analog, digital, and high-speed hardware design
  • Experience with high-speed interfaces including PCIe, DDR, Ethernet, USB, and SAS/SATA
  • Strong knowledge of high-speed PCB design, layout, and signal integrity principles
  • Proven system-level and board-level debugging, validation, and performance analysis skills
  • Understanding of power delivery architectures and server CPU/GPU platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to make technical trade-offs and lead cross-functional engineering efforts
