About the role

Systems Validation Engineer role at AMD focusing on hardware/system validation, core architecture, and automated solutions to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability across enterprise and cloud environments.

Responsibilities

  • Over 10 years of experience in System Validation and Hardware Design Validation
  • Strong understanding of core architecture; experience in core validation is a plus
  • Familiarity with multiple operating systems and OS-based workloads/benchmarks
  • Developing, validating, and optimizing workload applications across multiple platforms (Linux, Windows, VMware, and Microsoft Azure) to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability for enterprise and cloud environments
  • 8+ years of programming/scripting experience in languages such as C/C++, Perl, Ruby, and Python
  • Proficient in debugging techniques and methodologies
  • Experience in software programming and tool management is an advantage
  • Extensive expertise in board/platform-level debugging, including delivery, sequencing, analysis, and optimization
  • Deep knowledge of system architecture, technical debugging, and validation strategies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
  • Highly self-motivated and capable of independently driving tasks to completion
  • Preferred experience includes programming/scripting skills (C/C++, Perl, Ruby, Python), debugging techniques, and lab equipment experience (protocol/logic analyzers, oscilloscopes)
  • Knowledge of system architecture, technical debug, and validation strategies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical or computer engineering
